Terms of Service
Effective date: May 15, 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using GitDoctor (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
GitDoctor provides AI-powered analysis of GitHub repositories. Analysis results are informational and intended to assist developers — they are not a guarantee of code quality, security, or fitness for any particular purpose.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
4. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at gitdoctorio@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit repositories you do not own or do not have permission to analyze.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract the underlying analysis logic or models.
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Abuse, harass, or threaten other users or our team.
- Circumvent rate limits, scan quotas, or other technical controls.
- Resell or redistribute analysis results as your own commercial product without prior written consent.
6. Plans, Payments & Refunds
GitDoctor offers Free, Starter, and Pro plans. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Prices are displayed at checkout and may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period with no further charges.
We offer refunds at our discretion. If you experience a problem, contact us at gitdoctorio@gmail.com within 7 days of the charge and we will work to resolve it.
7. Intellectual Property
All rights in the Service — including our analysis methodology, scoring systems, UI, and underlying technology — belong to GitDoctor. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership to you.
You retain ownership of your code and repositories. By submitting a repository you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to access and process it solely to provide you with analysis results.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that analysis results are accurate, complete, or error-free, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or free of defects. Use of analysis results is entirely at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GitDoctor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you by email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first; if unresolved, through binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.
13. Contact
